Schwinn for a roadbike?

So I'm looking at roadbikes. I've been looking at Trek but Schwinn seems have good prices. Is that because they're lesser bikes? Is there something bad I should know? I was looking at the Fastback and Letour GS from Schwinn. And from Trek I was looking at the Pilot 1.0, 1.2 and Alpha Aluminum 1000. I'm just looking to narrow my field down a bit before I go to the shop.

I'm looking to do some longer distance solo rides. Nothing fancy.

Schwinn, like other companies have not too good and very good bikes. I looked at the bikes you selected. They are all pretty much spec'd the same. They're are all fine.

Your looking at bike just shy of full 105 level components. Many cyclist, me included, feel 105 level is the best quality for the price components. The reviews look good for all your selection.

If your looking at $1000 for the Pilot 1.2 check this Motobecane Le Champion SL. It's far better in my opinion then anything your looking at for just a few more bucks.
